Who are we? 
Mariner was founded in 1978.  Mariner began as a recreational program whos’ mission was to foster, promote and advance the cause of soccer in the South Coast.  In 1984 MYS moved into its current form, serving the townships of Acushnet, Fairhaven, Marion, Mattapoisett and Rochester.  For the last 44 years, Mariner has been a staple of soccer in the South Coast community, providing opportunities for countless youth and adults to play and enjoy the beautiful game of soccer.

The problem.
Mariner is a 503c non-profit. We put back everything that is collected through fees and donations into all programs. We even provide scholarships to past & former players every year. Due to rising costs; from covid, increases in field maintenance, replacing equipment and repairs we are under serious financial pressure. We see other organizations raising their fees. We have made sure to keep our fee increases to participants to a minimum, while delivering the same exceptional experience to the families and players. We know that many families cannot afford a substantial increase. As we look ahead, we know that this is not sustainable in the long run.
