Mariner Youth Soccer is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Visinho as our new Director of Coaching and Player Development for the club.

Prior to Mariner, Visinho served as the Head Coach for Emmanuel College and had served as Associate Head Coach for UMass Boston.  While coaching at the collegiate level for 13 years, Visinho has helped guide players and teams to some of their most successful seasons in history, including NCAA tournament appearances and Conference championships. Over his 13 years at the collegiate level, he has comprised a record of 139-88-26.

Greg has also been a long-time club coach in Massachusetts. He has worked for Liverpool IA and SS Select in capacities such as Director of Coaching, Regional Director, Coach, and College Recruitment Coordinator.

Visinho's coaching experience extends to the professional ranks as well. From 2005-07 he was a member of the Bay State Select franchise's staff of the Women's Professional Soccer League (WPSL). Here he mentored some of the best female players in the world at the time, including several current NWSL players.

Visinho currently has his UEFA B license as well as the United Soccer Coaches Premier, Director of Coaching and Goalkeeping diplomas. He also holds licensure from the USSF, Liverpool FC, NFHS and Coerver Coaching. Greg is also the Owner and Director of Athlete Performance Academy.
