Mariner Youth Soccer are proud to have Greg Visinho as our Director of Coaching and Player Development. Greg has been an integral part of our team for the past three years. During this period, he spearheaded the implementation of a player-centric curriculum aimed at prioritizing individual player development. Additionally, Greg played a pivotal role in establishing our club soccer program, solidifying Mariner as one of the few organizations catering to players of all skill levels.

Before joining our ranks, Greg served as the Head Coach for Emmanuel College and held the position of Associate Head Coach at UMass Boston. Throughout his 13-year tenure in collegiate coaching, Greg contributed to numerous historic achievements, including NCAA tournament appearances and conference championships, boasting a commendable record of 139-88-26.

With a longstanding presence in Massachusetts club soccer, Greg's influence extends beyond collegiate levels. His roles at Liverpool IA, Crusaders United and SS Select, ranging from Director of Coaching to College Recruitment Coordinator, attest to his multifaceted expertise. Moreover, Greg's professional experience includes a stint with the Bay State Select franchise in the Women's Professional Soccer League (WPSL), where he mentored top-tier female talents, some of whom now excel in the NWSL.

Greg's credentials speak volumes about his dedication to coaching excellence, including a UEFA B license, United Soccer Coaches Premier, Director of Coaching, and Goalkeeping diplomas, along with licensure from the USSF, Liverpool FC, NFHS, and Coerver Coaching. Furthermore, Greg serves as the Owner and Director of Athlete Performance Academy, further underscoring his commitment to holistic player development.
